A good overview; especially the part on SU(3) representations. I am curious as to if a paper was ever released on a solution to the quark confinement problem by the theory of color interactions based on the SU(3) group...

Here is a more "elementary" introduction to QCD that includes local gauge symmetries, the QCD Lagrangian, quark-gluon coupling, etc.
